When Humphrey, our pet dog died..

Humphrey,our pet dog has become part of the family for the past few years. Infact, Megan has become so attached to him that at times I am worried should something happen to him, I wonder how would Megan react?

As times goes by, Humphrey become more and more brilliant. Previously, he use to snap anybody's shoes, slippers & sneakers and rip it off till you can't even recognise it. As he matures, he learned how to be more choosy. Last few months, he only choose newly bought shoes, sneakers or slippers. But the worst thing happen.. was when Humphrey rip off the 'the bos' newly bought Aladin look alide sneaker and boy was my hubby gone really really mad!! He could only utter the word 'ready to be cook'. For the next few days, Megan really have to cover for Humphrey till her dad cool off.

Yep.. that is Humphrey, very naughty but fill our day with his funny sound and action. His normal day would be stay in his room (cage) during the day and out for working (taking care the house) during night time. His time to go out would be around 5.00pm, and that would be the time, when Megan bring him along with her for her daily rollerbladding (around the housing area). If nobody bothers to let him out, then his barking become more louder and louder.

But all those happenings remain a history coz Humphrey our pet dog has died misterously early last month. I could not believe it when our maid inform us that something had happened to Humphrey maybe during mid night time, coz she found his body lying unconsciously near our gate. I cried for a while and my thoughts start to roam around, how am I gonna inform Megan? At that time, Megan was still preparing herself for school. I went up slowly but still crying and she ask me, what's wrong mummy? I told her that something has happened to Humphrey and that he is very sick but she could not believe me and said that humphrey was fine last night. Still, she is not satisfied, so, she went down and call for Humphrey. For a while, I just keep quiet and just wait for her reaction. I peep outside the door, and saw her touching and holding Humphrey. She stayed there with humphrey for a while and went up to her room. She didn't cry at first. Only after she close her room's door, then only I can hear her crying. I feel so sad. I know she felt the lost of Humphrey.. coz I can feel the pain too. We all love Humphrey very much especially Megan. Until todate, we don't know what actually causes Humphrey's misterious death but whatever it is we know that Humphrey's memories remain with us forever. Even now, Megan still mention about Humphrey and has stop doing her rollerbladding. When I ask her why, all she can tell me is that she has no more friend to accompany her.

My only hope is that Megan would get over the lost and that one day she will get another puppy..to accompany her.
